CAIRO – 30 October 2018: A total of 223 Russian tourists arrived in Sharm el-Sheikh Monday on a flight from Kazakhstan, as a flight from the city of Taraz is scheduled to land in the Red Sea resort every week, carrying mainly Russian holidaymakers.

Director of Sharm el-Sheikh Airport Hossam Tambour received the wave of tourists, and Folklore bands performed for them at the international airport.

On Nov. 8, direct flights from Azerbijan to Sharm el-Sheikh will also begin.

Such flights will accommodate Russian tourists until direct flights form Russia to Sharm el-Sheikh return, as they have been halted since a Russian plane crashed shortly after takeoff from Sharm el-Sheikh in October 2015.
